Building Essential Skills through Connection, Movement and Play

Playful Kinections

What is Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy aims to help kids develop the foundational skills they need to do everyday activities, called "occupations," such as playing, eating, dressing, and learning. 'Occupation' refers to activities we need to and want to do. Occupational therapy supports both their physical skills (i.e. brain-body connection to support their sensory processing, gross and fine motor skills and visual processing development) and social-emotional skills (i.e. managing feelings and making friends).

Through fun and playful activities, occupational therapy helps kids feel safe, confident, and ready to take on their world!

Our Mission

At Playful Kinections, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and celebrated for who they are. Through playful, body-based activities and nurturing relationships, we help neurodiverse children develop a balanced sensory and motor system so they can feel safe and more emotionally regulated—giving them the confidence and courage to explore new possibilities.

Our mission is to support not just skills development, but joyful connections—because growth begins when a child feels understood and empowered.
